To enter to win a digital heart rate monitor, simply post new ideas for nutrition or fitness challenges for the game in the comments below by 11:59PM Monday July 16th. They will choose their favorite, use it in the game & send the winner the prize. US addresses only.

  1. Here are my ideas - go raw for a week, try new kinds of juices, develop a workout competition with your significant other, give up alcohol for a month (or longer!)...

  5. Try using tofu or tempeh as a meat substitute. Also, I try to do calf raises or other simple exercises while getting ready in the morning or waiting in a long line (people probably look at me a little funny).

  6. Whenever I watch tv at night, I do a "fitness challenge" during commercial breaks...for instance hold a plank, crunches, squats, burpies, etc. I even get the kids involved and they LOVE it!

  7. Hmm.. an unique challenge would be to do barefoot running for 30 mins everyday. I know it's not conventional but barefoot running has been shown to reduce injuries.

  8. My idea is ... to eat a home cooked meal at least once a day for a week. For some this might be easy, for me it's hard because I'm so busy and eat fast food every single day... so 1 home cooked meal would really do me some good.
